We offer sailing instruction to beginners who have no experience in a sailboat, to experienced sailors who want to develop their skills and to potential racers who want to learn the basic elements of sailing competition.
We cater to students from ages 8 to 80 and beyond. Children from the age of 8 can learn to skipper our safe and sturdy opti and opti boats which are specifically designed to meet the needs of younger students. Teenagers and adults can learn to sail on either our 18 foot sloops or our 14 foot 420 boats.
We offer different types of classes including a 2 hour introduction to sailing, private lessons and week-long (4 or 5 day) morning or afternoon sessions.
Safety will always be our first priority but fun comes in a close second. We take great care with our students and make every effort to ensure that the time spent on the water becomes a safe, secure and joyful experience.
Hours of Operation:
Lessons for the 2024 season start 6/17 and end 8/17
Monday through Friday and Saturday Mornings
Four or Five half-day sessions are available
Morning Sessions: 9 AM to 12 Noon
Afternoon Sessions: 1 PM to 4 PM
Private lessons and rescheduled make-up lessons:
Fridays 9 AM to Noon and 1 PM to 4 PM
Saturdays 9 AM to Noon
Monday through Thursday evening from 4:30 to 6:30 PM
Please Note - There will be no lessons on July 4th
Classes:
2 hour "Introduction to Sailing" session - $150
Four half-day sessions - $300
Five half-day sessions - $350
Two hour private lessons - $200 for up to three students
Three hour private lessons - $300 for up to three students

Available Discounts:
Families who register and pay for two family member students will receive a 10% discount
Families who register and pay for three or more family member students will receive a 15% discount
Students of families who are OCSF members receive a 10% discount
Families who register and pay for multiple sets of lessons for a student: After first set of lessons at full price, a 10% discount will be applied for the second lesson and 15% discount on all future lessons sets.
* No more than one type of discount may be applied to any student
